My Blissful Experience at Sawadhee Traditional Thai Spa in Delhi
My visit to Sawadhee Spa was timed perfectly, just before my birthday when pampering was high on my agenda. While my husband couldn’t take time off work, the idea of a luxurious spa experience was the ideal way to unwind and recharge. Sawadhee Spa, renowned as one of the best spas not just in Delhi but in India, had extended an invitation, and it couldn’t have come at a better moment.
Soon, we were booked for their signature couple’s treatment, an incredibly rejuvenating and sensual spa journey known as “A Fine Romance.”
Entering Sawadhee Spa, I immediately felt a positive and welcoming vibe. First impressions are crucial, and Sawadhee excelled. The warm, dimly lit, and inviting interiors set the stage for a truly relaxing experience. We were warmly greeted by Mrs. Vibha Khanna Rastogi, the director, and enjoyed a delightful conversation. We discussed the spa’s philosophy, its facilities, history, accolades, and even touched upon my travel blog.
Following our conversation, we were presented with a captivating array of massage oils and body scrubs. This selection process was an experience in itself. Small, elegant containers were beautifully arranged, each emitting enticing aromas and promising a luxurious treatment.
Trying out small samples of various massage oils – Lavender, Refresh, Relax, Detox, Indian Rose & Jasmine orange – only deepened my dilemma. Each fragrance was more alluring than the last. Finally, we opted for the “Relax” oil, and true to its name, it was incredibly soothing.
Next came the body scrubs. Another delightful challenge awaited as we explored tiny jars of handmade, 100% natural and chemical-free scrubs with unique scents like Red Wine, Vanilla Chai, Coffee, Jasmine & Chocolate. Being told they were edible only heightened their appeal! The fragrances were so divine, I almost wanted to taste them. After much consideration, I chose the Chocolate scrub, while my husband selected Vanilla Chai.
With our choices made, it was time for the massage itself, although I was already captivated by Sawadhee Spa. The combination of Vibha’s warm hospitality, the aromatic delights, and the cozy ambiance had already created a wonderful impression.
“A Fine Romance” – The Ultimate Couple’s Massage Therapy
The “Fine Romance” therapy lived up to its name – it was truly heavenly. Like everything at Sawadhee Spa, it was exactly as advertised, if not exceeding expectations. Priced at Rs 10,000, this 2.5-hour aromatic body bliss massage therapy is worth every rupee.
It’s similar to a traditional Thai massage but incorporates aromatic oils, elevating the experience. While I’ve found it challenging to find massages outside of Thailand that truly compare, this experience at Sawadhee was exceptional, ranking among my best massage experiences globally.
The room’s ambiance was undeniably romantic, adorned with twin beds sprinkled with rose petals, a Jacuzzi surrounded by flickering scented candles, and the spa’s signature warm, cozy décor. It was the perfect setting for a couple’s retreat.
Our massage therapists were incredibly skilled and attentive. Both therapists were excellent, demonstrating expertise and precision. They applied perfect stretches and effectively targeted all pressure points. We had communicated our preferred pressure and areas of focus beforehand, and they catered to our preferences perfectly.
Following over an hour of the best massage imaginable, we enjoyed a steam session, body scrub, and a relaxing 30 minutes in the sensual Jacuzzi, concluding with a refreshing hot shower. I emerged feeling completely revitalized and ready for anything.
I’m already planning my return to Sawadhee – perhaps for our anniversary, or to indulge in their “Pamper Yourself Therapy” for a solo escape. A visit to Sawadhee Traditional Thai Spa is a must!
