The Lapis Spa at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas offers a luxurious escape from the vibrant energy of the Strip. A recent visit highlighted the unique amenities and experiences that make this spa a standout destination for relaxation and rejuvenation. One of the most memorable aspects of the Lapis Spa experience was the unique “steam room show.” This wasn’t a traditional wet sauna, but rather a dry sauna experience enhanced by choreographed movements with towels, reminiscent of flag dancing, accompanied by music and a captivating visual display on a TV screen. The heat intensified throughout the 3 PM show, creating an immersive and invigorating experience. The rhythmic movements and energetic music made it a truly unforgettable performance.
Sitting on the lower level, especially near the entrance, provides a slightly cooler temperature as guests come and go. A helpful attendant encourages guests to rinse off sweat before entering the jacuzzi or cold plunge, ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for everyone. A unique tip for the dry sauna: avoid wearing sandals inside. While there isn’t any signage indicating this rule, it’s a recommendation from the staff to maintain the cleanliness of the sauna. For those sitting on the upper level, placing a towel lengthwise to cover both feet and body helps absorb sweat, preventing unpleasant odors and making cleaning easier.
The co-ed area of the spa boasts a large jacuzzi tub with three separate, more private jacuzzi rings activated by pressing a button in the corner, and a unique “shower” jacuzzi. Heated stone loungers invite guests to relax and unwind. Other amenities include gravity chairs, a cold plunge pool, a herbal room with heated chairs, a salt cave also equipped with warm chairs, a sauna (which appeared to be off during this visit), and a refreshing snow room for cooling down. Complimentary water is readily available in this area. One minor inconvenience was the restriction on bringing water into the dry sauna.
The women’s spa area features two spacious jacuzzi tubs, one maintained at a soothing 102 degrees Fahrenheit and the other at a slightly cooler 96 or 98 degrees. In addition to a traditional dry sauna, there’s a laconium, a type of Roman bath with a milder temperature than a steam room. Cold towels are provided for refreshment in both the women’s and co-ed areas. Fresh water is also readily available within the women’s spa. The standout feature remains the unique steam dance show, a compelling reason to return for another visit to the Lapis Spa.
