A police officer in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has been suspended following the circulation of explicit videos allegedly featuring him at a spa center. Sub-Inspector Sneh Prakash Azad, in-charge of the Jailchungi Police Outpost, was suspended after the videos went viral on social media, prompting a formal complaint and investigation.
The complaint was filed by a young woman who stated she previously worked at The Caesar Family Salon in Mangal Pandey Nagar. She alleged that Azad was a frequent visitor to the salon and had close connections with the spa owner.
Accusations of unethical practices at a Meerut spa have led to a police investigation and the suspension of an officer, raising concerns about wellness center operations.
According to reports, the complainant claimed she was pressured into unethical activities during her employment at the spa, which ultimately led to her resignation. She further accused Azad of harassment, including filing a false police case against her and threatening her with imprisonment. She also stated that Azad pressured her to return to the spa and engage in inappropriate behavior. The woman provided video evidence, alleging that Azad, in an intoxicated state, misbehaved with her at his residence in Sarvodaya Colony, which she recorded.
Shanky Verma, president of the Meerut Vyapar Mandal, has demanded strict action against the accused officer and called for the closure of the spa. He has announced plans to file a formal complaint with the District Magistrate. This incident has sparked public outrage and demands for a thorough investigation into the operations of spa centers in the area.
Notably, The Caesar Family Salon, where the complainant worked, had been previously raided by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit in November following allegations of illegal activities, including operating a sex racket under the guise of a spa. While a case was registered and the spa was temporarily closed, it had since resumed operations.
In response to the allegations, Azad has denied any wrongdoing. He claims the woman is making false accusations due to a separate case against her related to alleged involvement in supplying women. He further stated that the viral videos were from a family vacation eight months prior. However, SP City Ayush Vikram Singh confirmed Azad’s suspension and the initiation of a departmental inquiry based on the presented evidence. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are awaited.
