Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa Indian Wells Rebrands to Grand Hyatt After Extensive Renovation

The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California, is undergoing a significant transformation and will rebrand to the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Villas in September 2024. This $64 million renovation will elevate the luxury experience with redesigned guestrooms, suites, and luxury villas, alongside new dining concepts and an enhanced pool area. The resort’s prime location near the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, home to the BNP Paribas Open, adds to its appeal for leisure and business travelers alike.

The renovation, led by IndiDesign, draws inspiration from the surrounding desert landscape and date farms. A neutral color palette, wood accents, and mid-century modern design elements create a serene and sophisticated atmosphere. The 531 guestrooms and suites have already been updated, boasting spacious layouts, spa-inspired bathrooms, and private patios or balconies. Ground floor suites offer direct pool access.

43 luxurious one- and two-bedroom villas will be available by November 2024, featuring private backyards with hot tubs, plunge pools, or firepits, along with kitchenettes and access to an adults-only spa. Guests will also enjoy a dedicated villa concierge and exclusive arrival experience.

Two new dining concepts, Tía Carmen and Carmocha, created by acclaimed Chef Angelo Sosa, will open this fall. Tía Carmen will showcase modern Californian cuisine inspired by the Southwest, while Carmocha offers a global small plates menu. A revamped lobby marketplace provides casual dining options with a coffee bar, grab-and-go selections, and a variety of beverages.

The resort’s expansive pool area will feature enhanced cabanas for groups and families, along with new dining options. Palmadoro’s food truck will serve Italian favorites, and a refreshed café offers poolside classics. The HyTides waterpark, the largest in the Greater Palm Springs desert, boasts nine pools, dueling waterslides, a lazy river, and a splash pad.

With 88,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space, including renovated ballrooms, meeting rooms, and outdoor terraces, the Grand Hyatt Indian Wells is an ideal venue for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions.

The 30,000-square-foot Agua Serena Spa will also see enhancements this fall. A new Kalologie MedSpa location on the property provides additional wellness services, including IV hydration therapy. Guests can enjoy tennis and pickleball courts, two nearby golf courses, and easy access to the Palm Springs International Airport and the Coachella Valley’s attractions. The Grand Hyatt Indian Wells Resort & Spa is poised to become a premier destination in the California desert.
